Seismic networks and other contributing organizations use the Product Distribution Layer (PDL) to send earthquake data and products to USGS real-time systems and the Comprehensive Earthquake Catalog (ComCat).

Contribute Earthquake Products With PDL

PDL distributes earthquake information as products. These can include earthquake source parameters and related information such as shaking estimates and impact assessments. ComCat brings together contributed products associated with an earthquake event.

Use the PDL documentation to learn how to prepare and send products and configure a contributing system. PDL also supports receiving products, allowing organizations to build systems that process earthquake updates.
