generally accurate to 1 km or less; depths of the shallow shocks
northwest of the preparation zone are less accurate, with an uncertainty
of about 2 km. For reference, the hypocenters of the immediate foreshock
of ML 5.1 and the main shock in 1966 are shown as
small and large stars, respectively, and the approximate outline of the
1966 aftershock zone (rupture zone) is dashed.
